Salesforce Sandbox Refresh & Mambo Merge

Refreshing Sandboxes is a standard practice when doing development work for your Salesforce org. So, to avoid any hiccups with your development process, you’ll need to update Mambo Merge Support. When you refresh a Salesforce Sandbox, Salesforce assigns it a new Org ID. This creates a hidden issue for Mambo Merge users—our system sees this as a brand-new installation instead of a copy of your original org. If Mambo Merge Support is not updated, your sandbox will default to a 14-day Full Speed trial and revert to Free(style) afterward, potentially breaking your Routines, Templates, and Merge Functions.

Updating Support

Step 1: Locate Your Refreshed Sandbox Org ID

  1. Log into your sandbox.
  2. Go to Setup > Company Information.
  3. Copy the Salesforce.com Organization ID.

Step 2: Notify the Mambo Merge Support Team

  • Email us at support@mambomerge.com.
  • Include:
    • Your Refreshed Sandbox Org ID
    • Your Production Org ID (if available)
    • Your Organization Name

This allows Support to properly connect your refreshed sandbox to your account and restore your license access.

Template Errors After Refresh

Issue: “No Template Found” When Using a Routine

You may see this error if:

  • You’re deploying or importing Routines into the sandbox for the first time.
  • Templates used in Routines were accidentally deleted.

Fix the Error in Mambo Merge Studio

  1. Go to Mambo Merge Studio in your Sandbox.
  2. Click on Routines.
  3. Click dropdown menu and select Edit the affected Routine.
  4. Click Next continuing to the Templates page.
  5. Reassign the Template File to the correct Template to each Label.
  6. Click Save and Test the merge again.

Once templates are relinked, merges should work normally.
